New Hire Spotlight: Jane Petruncola

We are happy to welcome a new member of the UFI team - Jane Petruncola, Hudson Valley local, has joined the team as an Assistant Social Media Content Creator. Jane will be behind-the-scenes capturing stellar content to feature across our social media platforms!

Here is a little more about her:

What is your past education/work background?

“I hold a bachelor’s degree in Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance. During college, I worked as the Social Media Manager for my theatre department, where I combined my love for the arts with storytelling, marketing, and community engagement. I also currently teach voice lessons and dance classes.”

What’s your favorite book, movie, or podcast?

“My favorite movie is ‘Inside Out’ because of how thoughtfully and accessibly it depicts mental health and emotions. I love how it reminds viewers that all feelings—even the hard ones—serve a purpose.”

What’s something people would be surprised to know about you?

“I love to crochet! I’ve made scarves, hats, blankets, and even stuffed animals. It’s one of my favorite ways to unwind and create something meaningful.”

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

“To remember that when the sun goes down, it’s in the past. Every morning is a fresh start and a new opportunity to try again, no matter what yesterday looked like.”

If you had a superpower, what would it be?

“Flying—no traffic, no gas money, and a much better commute. Plus, the views would be unbeatable.”

What do you love about UFI & our mission?

“I love that UFI encourages people to shop locally while still getting amazing deals. Supporting small businesses is so important, especially in times like these, and UFI makes it easy and rewarding to do just that.”
