Community at the Core: East Hartford Little League Prepares for the 2026 Season

As the 2026 season approaches, East Hartford Little League (EHLL) is doing what it has always done best — bringing the community together to make sure every child has the opportunity to play baseball and softball.

With the season around the corner, the energy around the league continues to build. Volunteers, coaches, and families have been hard at work preparing for a strong and inclusive year on and off the field.

One of the defining priorities for EHLL this year has been accessibility. The league has continued its efforts to offer partial scholarships and financial assistance, reinforcing a simple but powerful belief: cost should never be the reason a child cannot step on the field.

To support that mission, EHLL has partnered with local businesses and organizations on a variety of fundraising initiatives. From community-driven campaigns like the Baseballism fundraiser to special events such as group outings with the Hartford Wolf Pack & Hartford Yard Goats, each effort reflects the strong network of support surrounding the league.

As part of that effort, EHLL is also working with Ultimate Fundraising Inc. to introduce the East Hartford Community Discount Card — a program designed to generate support for the league while encouraging families to engage with local businesses. The initiative provides a simple, flexible way for supporters to contribute, while also creating added value for those participating.

Local sponsorships have also played a key role, giving businesses the opportunity to connect directly with families while helping sustain programming throughout the season.

Opening Day will serve as a celebration of all that work — a chance for players, families, and supporters to come together and kick off the baseball and softball seasons. It will also highlight the many ways the community continues to rally around EHLL.

More than anything, what stands out about East Hartford Little League is the people behind it — the volunteers organizing events, the coaches mentoring players, and the families showing up day after day.

As the first pitch of the season approaches, one thing is clear: EHLL is not just preparing for a season of baseball and softball — it is continuing a tradition of community, opportunity, and support that extends far beyond the field.
